What Is A Denture?
A traditional denture consists of multiple teeth on a metal frame and a gum colored plastic base to replace some or all of the teeth on the upper or lower jaw.
Dentures are normally secured with clips or denture paste and can be removed by the patient.
Benefits of Dentures
Dentures can provide an affordable option for those suffering from missing teeth. Dentures will improve your ability to chew food compared to missing teeth. They will improve your smile and improve your confidence.
New Day Smile Dental Group offers a range of quality, affordable dentures for almost any budget and backs them with our exclusive quality guarantee.
Why Choose New Day Smile?

4 Steps to Achieve Your New Smile
Start With A Free Consultation
At your consultation, you'll receive free X-rays, a dental exam, and discuss your treatment details with one of our Doctors. We'll then take impressions of both the upper and lower gums.
Take Bite Impressions
The second visit is where you will take bite impressions to decide the length of the new teeth to create a perfect bite.
Try-On
The third visit allows us to see what the dentures will look like, adjust them for size and get the laboratory to make any final adjustments.
Final Placement
Visit number four ends with you leaving with a completely installed brand new pair of dentures so that you can begin to eat and speak like you used to while improving your appearance.

Most patients will need to learn how to use dentures properly, and as a result, it will take a little time to get used to them. After a while, you should be able to eat fairly normally but it may take more time to get comfortable eating hard or sticky foods. Using a small amount of denture adhesive may help stabilize the denture and keep them in place. For patients looking for a permanent solution to stabilizing their dentures, we recommend implant supported dentures. Schedule a free consultation to see if you may be a candidate.
It's hard to predict how much of the upper or lower jaw will remain if you've gone without teeth for a number of years. The best way to find out is to schedule a free consultation that includes a free CT scan of your upper and lower jaw. The CT scan produces a 3D image of your jaw that will tell us which treatments you would be a good candidate.
Yes, you can wear your dentures at night but it is preferred that they be removed. You should remove your dentures at night as this will give your gums and bone a chance to relax from the pressure of the denture during the day. If you need to wear your dentures for social reasons or to prevent your jaws from over closing, you should find time during the day to properly clean your mouth and denture. You should never wear your dentures 24 hours a day without performing proper oral hygiene. Dentures should be cleaned at night and stored in water night over.
Brushing: Do not brush your dentures with normal toothpaste. Toothpastes are designed to be used on natural teeth. They often contain ingredients that help whiten and strengthen natural teeth but may harm dentures. You should use a dishwashing liquid and a special denture brush to clean your dentures by hand every day. After rinsing, soak your dentures in a water-based cleaning solution overnight.
Recovery time differs for every patient but many patients say they don't experience significant discomfort and don't even need pain medication after the procedure.
Permanent dentures are retained by screws onto dental implants and cannot be removed by a patient; they can only be removed by your dentist. Permanent dentures can dramatically improve the fit and stability of a denture and greatly improve a patient's biting power. Another benefit of dental implants is their ability to slow or halt the progression of bone loss in the jaw that typically occurs when natural teeth and teeth roots are no longer present.
